Ingrid Schwab

Education and Academic Interests

At the Vanderbilt University Institute of Imaging Science.
I graduated from Xavier University in 2003 with an honors B.A. in French and a self-created concentration in Italian.  I received my M.A. in French Literature at Vanderbilt in the spring of 2006, and was selected to continue in the PhD program.  I am specializing in Second Language Acquisition, with Dr. Virginia Scott as my director.   


Activities and Interests

Recipient of University Fellowship and Graduate Teaching Assistantship.
Member of Applied Linguistics Association (ALA).
Graduate Student Council Representative (2006-2007).
Member of Graduate Student Council Academic Events Committee.
Member of Queer Theory Graduate Reading Group at the Robert Penn Warren Center for the Humanities.
Participant in MICEFA-Vanderbilt graduate exchange program in Paris (2004-2005).
Contributor to the Les Fleurs du Mal: Selections from the W.T. Bandy Center exhibition in the
Central Library (open from March 21st, 2006- April 21st 2006).
