I am a second year graduate student at Vanderbilt in the Department of French and Italian. My interest in the French language grew out of an early exposure to the Francophone world during an exchange to Libreville, Gabon in west Africa in 1995. Since then, I have continued to avidly study the language, literature and culture and have soujourned abroad numerous times, including a year in Paris teaching at Lycée Victor Duruy and a semester at the Université Aix-Marseille III. I majored in French at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee and anticipate receiving my Masters in May 2007 from Vanderbilt University.
