Accelerator and RBS training are available by appointment with the Laboratory Director. The training requirements for independent operator status are as follow:

VEHS Laboratory Safety and Environmental Protection Training
VEHS X-ray Safety Training
Annual VEHS Accelerator Operator Training (Online)
Undergo three training sessions with the Laboratory Manager
Register for a radiation monitoring badge ($)

Laboratory guests who wish to accompany a trained operator during an experimental run are restricted to the control room while the accelerator is energized.

Eye protection and covered shoes are required at all times.

Food may be consumed in the lab, HOWEVER, neither food disposal nor food container disposal are permitted. Please dispose of your food trash in a proper waste container OUTSIDE the lab. TAKE IT WITH YOU!!!
