CIEE Program in Taiwan

Vanderbilt University is a sponsoring institution, through the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), at the National Chengchi University in Taipei. Located thirteen kilometers from Taipei, the university is situated on 236 acres in the southeast suburb of Mucha, at the foot of picturesque Mount Chinan.

CIEE study abroad programs are organized in cooperation with predominantly U.S. colleges and universities that form the Academic Consortium. CIEE has been administering study abroad programs on behalf of consortium colleges and universities for almost thirty years.

Programs
The programs offer intermediate and advanced students the opportunity to improve their fluency in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese.

First-semester course work begins at the CIEE study site at Murdoch University in Australia. The second semester is spent at National Chengchi University. Areas of study include international relations, political science, history, economics, cultural studies, and the languages of Asia and the Pacific Rim.
