Please note that our conference falls on homecoming weekend, and Vanderbilt will be playing Georgia.  Because of the success of the 2008 season, Vanderbilt football will likely see an increase in ticket sales and attendance.  Please make your reservations as early as possible since local hotels may be at capacity.

The Nashville International Airport is approximately 15 minutes from the conference site.

Conference attendees will have a choice of accommodations:

1) The
Scarritt Bennett Center, where the sessions will take place.  Rooms are affordable; guests can choose the slightly more expensive renovated rooms which include high-speed internet and television.  All rooms have twin beds and share a full bathroom with an adjacent room.
Standard Room: $45 plus tax - includes: one twin bed, desk, chair and shared bathroom
Deluxe Room: $62 plus tax - includes: one twin bed, tv, high speed internet, chair and shared bathroom

Please note that alcohol is not allowed at the center.  Please choose accommodation option 2 if this poses a problem.

Parking is available and free of charge at the conference center.

Shuttle Service from and to the airport is available through In-Shuttle Transportation, Inc. Reservations can be made by calling 615.255.3519 or
online.  However, a cab fare will not be very much at all as the airport is quite close to the university.

CONFERENCE HOTELS:
If you wish to stay before or after the conference dates, please call the hotel directly and ask for the conference rates for those days as well.  Please let us know if you have any problems.

2)
Embassy Suites at Vanderbilt (<-- click on link to reserve online at our SEMA page).  This hotel has well-appointed suites.  The conference rate is $149/night, but that is also for double occupancy, and all suites can easily accommodate two people.  Please ask upon making your reservation about the details on the specific suite you will have.  You must reserve by 9/14/09.

The hotel is 1/2 mile (less than 10 minute) walk from the conference center.

3) Hampton Inn - Vanderbilt This hotel has several different room choices.  The conference rate is $159/night. This is not as nice a hotel as the Embassy Suites and costs more, but if Embassy Suites is sold out, this is a good option.  There is an option for a bed plus a sofa bed, so room sharing is possible.

The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the conference center.
