Master of Science. August, 1985, Mississippi State University. Psychology and Communication. Thesis title: The Impact of Intragroup Competition on Interpersonal Attraction and Credibility. (Overall GPA = 4.0).
Bachelor of Arts. May, 1983, Mississippi State University. Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations. (Overall GPA = 4.0).

Vanderbilt University, 1991 - present. Sr. Lecturer and Director of Debate. Teaching: Argumentation and Debate, Public Speaking, and Interpersonal Communication.
Mississippi State University, 1983 - 1991. Teaching: Elements of Persuasion, Communication Theory, Fundamentals of Public Speaking, and Interpersonal Communication. Assistant Coordinator of Public Speaking Courses: Duties included maintaining and improving standardization of all sections of public speaking offered (35+ per semester).

ADVISING

Academic advisor, Mississippi State University. Responsible for advising approximately 25 - 30 communication majors per year in areas of emphasis including public relations, communication management, journalism, and broadcast.

Cross Examination Debate Association's 2002 National Public Debate Award. Presented to Vanderbilt Debate, M. L. Sandoz, Director. Award recognized the Community Debate Program and the VUPoint weekly television show aired on VUTV.
