1961 Born in San Francisco, California.
1985 B.A. in Chemistry from Reed College, Portland Oregon. Thesis with Dr. Ron McClard on regulation of fructose 2,6-bisphosphatase and phosphofructokinase.
1990 Ph.D. from UCLA Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Dissertation on photoionization of atomic and molecular clusters with Dr. Robert L. Whetten (now at Georgia Tech). Started work as Technical Manager for Lion Industries Inc. in Vancouver, Washington.
1995 Promoted to Sr. Vice President of Lion Industries Inc.; moved to Marietta, Georgia.
1996 Lion Industries Inc. acquired by Vinings Industries Inc. of Atlanta, Georgia. Took new position as Director of Technology. (Vinings was acquired by Kemira Chemicals, Inc in 2002).
2001 Started new career as Research Assistant Professor of Physics at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
2005 Appointed Senior Lecturer of Physics, with responsibility for introductory physics laboratories.
