Vanderbilt Temporary Services has hot new rates! Request a VTS employee today!
Vanderbilt University has a temporary staffing service, Vanderbilt Temporary Services (VTS), within Human Resources, which exists for the purpose of posting all of the institution’s temporary positions (all nursing and some Allied Health are not included).
This temporary service creates and documents required applicant pools for all temporary postings for departments throughout the University and Medical Center.

Services provided for the University carry a 30% administrative fee that is applied to every placement made through VTS. The administrative fee for each placement covers the following:
- Pre-employment background checks
- Reference Checks
- TB Compliance
- Administrative Employee Management
- Employee Orientation
- Payroll Administration
- VUnet ID and Systems Access Management
In a limited number of cases, such as seasonal hires that are typically made during the summer months (May 15th-Aug 30th), a discounted rate may apply.
This discounted rate for seasonal temporaries does not cover the cost of background checks or any other related pre-employment screening.
