ITS Service Delivery Consultant, Cliff Wilson, acting in his role as President of University Staff Advisory Council, participated in the Vanderbilt Founders’ Day Celebration with new Chancellor Nick Zeppos, Chairman of the Board of Trust, Martha Ingram, and Vanderbilt Student Government Association President, Cara Bilotta.

The celebration was the 135th anniversary of our university’s founding and the sixth year since the re-establishment of this traditional celebration. The ceremony began at 10 AM on Monday, March 17, and was held at the base of the statue of the Commodore. As the Kirkland clock struck, four herald trumpeters played a fanfare to announce the event. Chancellor Zeppos read a brief statement and made a proclamation of this occasion marking Founder’s Day. The ten Deans stood before the banners of their respective schools. This ceremony was followed by a similar event held at the gravesite of Bishop and Mrs. McTyeire. A reception followed at Kirkland Hall hosted by Chancellor Zeppos.
