Gartner Research Available to Vanderbilt Community through Heard Library / ITS / MIS Partnership“We understand the importance of offering our students, researchers, faculty, and staff access to an authoritative source on IT data, analysis and opinion,” said Shanmuga Sundaram, Associate Director of ITS. “Therefore, we are extremely pleased to facilitate access to Gartner research.” The Gartner database includes executive summaries, perspectives/ research briefs, research notes, special reports on IT-related issues. It also spotlights key technologies, products, trends, market opportunities, industry developments, vendors, products and services. Students, faculty, and IT support staff can access the Gartner database at http://its.vanderbilt.edu/gartner, or from the Heard Library database directory at http://www.library.vanderbilt.edu/heard/edatabases.shtml. From an off-campus computer, a VUnetID and e-password are required. Gartner notes on its website that it is “the world’s most prolific source of authoritative IT data, analysis and opinion.” Gartner publishes tens of thousands of pages of original research yearly. More than 1,200 research analysts and consultants contributed to the information available at gartner.com. |
