Watch video of the celebration of the selection of Nicholas S. Zeppos as the university’s eighth chancellor during a special open house Monday, March 10, at the Student Life Center.
This was the first opportunity for Zeppos in his new role to greet the Vanderbilt community, much of which was on spring break when the Board of Trust chose him March 1 as the university’s new leader at the conclusion of its winter meeting.
Board of Trust Chairman Martha Ingram, student leaders and Zeppos spoke during the event, which was ended by nearly 1,500 people and featured food, music and other party fare.
Students, faculty and staff as well as members of the Nashville community, alumni and other friends of the university joined in the festivities.
