SUMMARY:Vanderbilt Police Department seeks community feedback July 13
DESCRIPTION:Vanderbilt University’s police department will ask for feedback from the community members they serve at a public forum 6 p.m. Monday\, July 13.\nMembers of the Vanderbilt and Nashville communities\, as well as employees of the Vanderbilt Police Department\, are invited to attend the forum in Room 1A at Vanderbilt Police headquarters located at 111 28th Ave. S. – behind the Verizon Wireless store that was formerly “You Greek\, Me Greek.”\nThe Vanderbilt Police Department is seeking international accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies\, Inc. [http\://www.calea.org/] (CALEA). An on-site assessment team from CALEA will be at Vanderbilt on July 13 and feedback provided at the forum will be considered as part of group’s assessment of Vanderbilt.\nCALEA’s accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-profession standards in four basic areas\: policy and procedures\, administration\, operations and support services.\nThose who cannot attend the forum may also offer feedback in the following ways\:\n  * Contact CALEA’s on-site assessment team by phone at (615) 438-9025 or (615) 484-9773 on Monday\, July 13\, from 1 to 4 p.m. \n  *  Contact Vanderbilt Police Captain David Bohler at (615) 322-8954.\n  *  Submit written comments to the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies\, Inc.
