Vanderbilt Police Department seeks community feedback July 136/22/2009

Members of the Vanderbilt and Nashville communities, as well as employees of the Vanderbilt Police Department, are invited to attend the forum in Room 1A at Vanderbilt Police headquarters located at 111 28th Ave. S. – behind the Verizon Wireless store that was formerly “You Greek, Me Greek.” The Vanderbilt Police Department is seeking international accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA). An on-site assessment team from CALEA will be at Vanderbilt on July 13 and feedback provided at the forum will be considered as part of group’s assessment of Vanderbilt. CALEA’s accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-profession standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations and support services. Those who cannot attend the forum may also offer feedback in the following ways:
