SUMMARY:St. Patrick's Day can be extra green if you recycle
DESCRIPTION:Don’t just wear green for St. Patrick’s Day. Be green by participating in the SustainVU phone book and paper recycling drive.\nThere will be dumpsters in three locations to collect paper from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Monday\, March 17\:\no    Peabody Recycling Center (Behind the Commons Dining Center)\no    Branscomb Hall\no    Divinity School\nIf you have large amounts to recycle\, you may also bring your ID to one of the stations to check out a wheeled toter to take back to your office and load up.\nIn addition to phone books (Yellow Pages\, White Pages and Vanderbilt directories)\, you can also bring magazines\, files\, soft cover books\, hard cover books (need to get rid of any old textbooks?)\, newspapers and any kind of paper\, white and colored.\nPaper clips and staples are OK. Corrugated cardboard is not (although there is a special recycling area for it behind The Commons that you can access any time).\nRecycling makes good sense\:\nFiscally – garbage costs Vanderbilt more money to dispose of than collecting recyclables\nCivically – it keeps the landfills in Middle Tennessee from filling up\nEnvironmentally – it helps protect the finite resources of our planet.\nFor more information about Vanderbilt’s recycling efforts\, visit www.vanderbilt.edu/sustainvu/recycling_vu.php#RecFAQ9 [http\://www.vanderbilt.edu/sustainvu/recycling_vu.php#RecFAQ9].\nRain date\: Light rain will not affect the drive.
