DESCRIPTION:Vanderbilt Peabody College&rsquo\;s John M. Braxton has been appointed editor of the Journal of College Student Development. The journal is one of the leaders in the field of higher education research.\n\nBraxton&rsquo\;s five-year term as the journal&rsquo\;s editor will begin Aug. 1\, 2008.\n\nThe Journal of College Student Development specializes in articles focused on college student growth and development and other topics related to the college student experience.&nbsp\; It has a circulation of 10\,000 and is published by the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) College Student Educators International.\n\nBraxton is professor of education in the Peabody Department of Leadership\, Policy and Organizations&rsquo\; Higher Education Leadership and Policy Program. His research interests center on the college student experience\, the sociology of the academic profession and academic course-level processes.
