'Friendship Families' needed for International Fellows
Posted 3/22/2011
The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program is looking for Friendship Families for International Fellows during the 2011-2012 school year.
The Humphrey Program brings accomplished mid–career educators from developing nations to the Vanderbilt's Peabody College for an academic year to study, gain professional experience and foster cultural exchange. The program provides a basis for lasting ties between local residents and the Fellow, and it strengthens the global exchange of knowledge and experience.
Friendship Families (which can be families, individuals or a couple of friends) are an integral part of the International Fellows’ experience in Nashville. The mission of the Friendship Families Program is to assist the Fellows in adjusting to life in the United States and to provide an opportunity for cultural sharing between the friendship families, the community and the International Fellows.
Please note that this is a friendship/support program, not a live-in program.
