Football 101 for women offered April 9
Posted 3/21/2011

Athletics will sponsor "A Women's Football Clinic" on Saturday - April 9, from 12:45 to 6 p.m. Lunch will be served during the clinic. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes to this event.
Vanderbilt's first women's football clinic will give Commodore fans an up close and personal look at Vanderbilt's football program. VUFB 101 is specifically designed for Vanderbilt's female fans to learn the basics of college football and become the most knowledgeable fans in the country.
Coach James Franklin and the Commodore coaching staff will spend time teaching the basics of Vanderbilt's offensive and defensive football schemes to clinic goers. Participants will then take what is learned on the chalkboard and apply it to the game field in an exciting skills and drills segment.
The clinic will also provide a football rules segment with SEC officials, an equipment presentation and an opportunity for participants to learn about the Commodores' strength training regimen.
The registration fee for VUFB 101 is $50 until April 1 and $60 until April 9. The registration fee includes a souvenir bag with exclusive gifts, a certificate of completion, a photo with Vanderbilt Head Football Coach James Franklin and a complimentary lunch in the nation's best training table. The clinic is free for all female Vanderbilt students.
