Your guide to college basketball tournament season

Both the men’s and women’s VU basketball teams are in the thick of tournament time in the post-season.
The VU men’s basketball team
SEC Tournament is this week
The Vanderbilt Commodores will be the number three seed in the SEC East and will take on the number six seed in the West, LSU, in the first round of the 2011 SEC Tournament on Thursday, March 10, at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The game will tip off at approximately 9 p.m. CST. The game will be televised on the SEC Network. The winner of the game will play Mississippi State on Friday, March 11, at 9 p.m. CST.
NCAA Tournament
The men’s NCAA tournament selections will be released on Sunday, March 13.
The VU women’s basketball team
SEC Tournament ends in defeat for ‘Dores
The Lady ‘Dores made it to the semi-finals of the SEC tournament, held in Nashville March 4-5. They were defeated by the University of Kentucky. The University of Tennessee-Knoxville went on to defeat the University of Kentucky to win the SEC Tournament.
NCAA Tournament
The NCAA women’s tournament selections will be revealed on Monday, March 14.
