In 2010, the Central Library underwent an extensive renovation that repurposed a number of spaces to address student, faculty and alumni needs. Among those spaces is a new café, housed on the south end of the library’s fourth floor, which opened in late January. The adjoining wireless terrace, complete with covered tables and chairs, has an excellent view of Library Lawn.
The café is open from 11 a.m. to one half hour before the library’s closing Monday through Friday and from 3 p.m. to one half hour before the library’s closing on Sunday. The menu includes sandwiches, panini, salads, soups, desserts and various beverages. The café accepts the Vanderbilt meal plan, meal money and cash. If you have questions about the café, just ask one of the café’s friendly staff or visit the website.
Now we need the Vanderbilt community’s input to help name Central Library's new café. Vote for your favorite name. The link will be active until April 1. The winning name will be announced before the end of the semester.
