Chemistry professors receive recognition for excellence in teaching

John McLean, assistant professor of chemistry, and Michal Kliman, a graduate teaching assistant, have been recognized by the Vanderbilt student members of the American Chemical Society for excellence in teaching.

The student members of the American Chemical Society is a group for chemistry majors that participates in a variety of activities, such as “Mole Day” celebrations, traveling to ACS meetings, doing science demonstrations at the Nashville Adventure Science Center, doing classroom demonstrations in conjunction with Vanderbilt Students Volunteering for Science (VSVS), tutoring and picnics.
