Registering with FEMA crucial to getting aid in timely fashion
Posted 5/6/2010
If you have been impacted by the flood, registering with FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) should be at the top of you to-do list.
You can register with FEMA three ways:
1) Online at www.disasterassistance.gov
2) By phone at 800-621-FEMA (3362)
3) At a local DAC (Disaster Assistance Center) (To find the one nearest you, click here)
FEMA can provide money for temporary housing and repairs as well as for things like medical, funeral, transportation, moving and storage expenses.
