Kaas to lead public discussion of what makes us human Nov. 19

Posted 11/19/2009

Jon Kaas, Centennial Professor of Psychology and associate professor of cell biology, will facilitate a public discussion around the theme of what makes us uniquely human Thursday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. at the Adventure Science Center in Nashville. Kaas will explore with participants such aspects of the human experience as language, morality and the ability to create and use complex tools.

The event is free and open to the public and is part of Nashville Public Television’s monthly “Human Spark” Science Café series. The events are not lectures, but rather an opportunity for the community to share ideas, opinions and thoughts with other science lovers and to meet local scientists in a relaxed setting.

Adventure Science Center is located at 800 Fort Negley Blvd. Call 615-862-516 for more information.
