Great American Smokeout is Nov. 19
Don’t stop with just participating in the Great American Smokeout by smoking less or quitting for the day. If you are a smoker who is ready to quit, Vanderbilt has several programs to help.

The Dayani Center offers eight-week smoking cessation seminars. Faculty and staff that on the Vanderbilt health care plan can enroll in the Dayani Center tobacco cessation program and the cost will be covered up to $300. Covered dependents are also eligible. For more information, visit the Benefits tab on the Human Resources Web site (http://hr.vanderbilt.edu/benefits) or call HR customer service at 322-8330.

Faculty and staff not covered on the Vanderbilt health plan are eligible for up to a $300 reimbursement for the Dayani program through Health Plus. Reimbursement for the program is not dependant on quitting tobacco use. The program prepares smokers - at all points on the continuum - to quit. To register for the Dayani program, faculty and staff members should call 322-4751.

The Vanderbilt Occupational Health Clinic also offers assistance with quitting smoking. The OHC will provide this service to all faculty and staff without cost to you. You will be expected to purchase your own nicotine replacement products or related medications if they are used. Call 936-0955 to schedule an appointment to begin your quit plan.
