H1N1 vaccine shot and FluMist available only to health care workers
Due to shipments of H1N1 vaccine being delayed because of the logistics of vaccine production, Vanderbilt will halt distribution of the FluMist vaccine to general employees at this time.

The Health Department has requested that Vanderbilt now direct all remaining H1N1 FluMist and H1N1 shots to healthcare workers with direct patient contact. H1N1 vaccine is currently available for those healthcare workers at Vanderbilt, and those who handle infectious specimens in the lab.

The CDC has announced that H1N1 vaccine deliveries will continue through February 2010, a two-month extension from prior projections. H1N1 vaccine will be available for all employees in a later phase of the program. Seasonal flu shots are still available for all employees at the Occupational Health Clinic.
