Celebrate Campus Sustainability Day Oct. 20

Vanderbilt will celebrate national Campus Sustainability Day Tuesday, Oct. 20, with a number of activities.
 
Come judge for yourself whether bottled water really is better in a blind taste test at The Wall at Rand from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will feature tap water, filtered water and several varieties of bottled water. The tasting is free and open to anyone who wants to participate.
 
The Rand Bookstore will feature a 2-day sale on green items on Tuesday, Oct. 20, and Wednesday, Oct. 21. Receive a 10 percent discount* on the following items:
-lanyards made from recycled material
-all coffee mugs, cups, and water bottles
-all “World of Good” products
-items in the “Shop Sustainable” section
-elephant “poo” paper
-compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLS)
-Brita water filter products
 
Wrap up the day with a special viewing of the 20-minute video The Story of Stuff, at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, in Wilson Hall Room 126. After the video, panelists will hold a discussion and Q&A session followed by dessert.
