Baldassari memorial, musical celebration planned

A memorial service for Butch Baldassari is scheduled at Blakemore United Methodist Church (3601 West End Ave. in Nashville) at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31. There will be a reception afterwards in the church fellowship hall. Baldassari had been an adjunct professor of mandolin at Blair since 1996. He died Jan. 10.

On Sunday, Feb. 1, there will be a 1 p.m. musical celebration at The Station Inn (402 12th Avenue South).
