Vanderbilt Medical students set GLBT awareness week activities
Students at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine have organized a week-long set of free activities designed to promote awareness of GLBT health and community issues.  It is the first-time the students have organized a formal week of activities.

Guest speakers have been scheduled for the entire week from the noon to 1 p.m. hour in Light Hall, with topics ranging from the threat of a ban on same-sex adoption in Tennessee to working with the media on GLBT issues. All events are free and open to the public.

The VMS GSA has a two-fold mission: to educate the greater Vanderbilt medical community on health issues that pertain to GLBT patients and health care providers and to provide a support network for GLBT medical students.
