On Thursday and Saturday, March 20 and 22, Vanderbilt Juggling and Physical Arts presents Juggleville III: Catch-a-Sketch at the Martha Rivers Ingram Center for the Performing Arts. Juggleville III blends juggling, acrobatics and physical comedy in three extraordinary performances.
The 60-member cast of Juggleville III portrays a young girl’s fantasy world as it comes alive through her magical coloring book. Now in its third year, Juggleville continues to expand in new directions, casting local hula-hoop artist Fiona Flaherty in the leading role. Juggleville III promises to delight young and old alike, having received animated reviews from audiences at last year’s sold-out performances.

“The energy that flowed from every piece was utterly contagious. The skills were breathtaking,” said Allison Pingree, director of the Vanderbilt University Center for Teaching. “And on top of it all, it looked like you all were having a heck of a lot of fun."

The show features both student and professional performing artists, including collaborations with dancers, gymnasts and musicians. Back by popular demand from last year, all three shows will be broadcast live over the Internet.

Juggleville III: Catch-a-Sketch will be at the Martha Ingram Rivers Center for the Performing Arts, 2400 Blakemore Avenue in Nashville, on Thursday March 20 at 8 p.m. and on Saturday, March 22 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door or may be purchased in advance through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com) or at the Sarratt Student Center on the Vanderbilt campus. Tickets are $7 for community members and $5 for Vanderbilt students.

The Vanderbilt University Office of the Dean of Students is the official sponsor of the production. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
