· Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Physical Science, or Engineering (with the equivalent of a minor in physics) from an accredited college or university.
· Suggested physics prerequisites: Calc III, Differential Equations, Modern Physics, Modern Physics Lab, Electricity & Magnetism, Atomic & Nuclear, and Quantum.
· The successful candidate should have a minimum undergraduate GPA score of 3.0/4.0 or a B average.
· The general GRE is required. The suggested minimal acceptable score for admission is a total of 1200, with a minimal score on the quantitative section of 650.
· The GRE Advanced Physics Exam is not required.
· Students from non-English speaking countries are required to demonstrate proficiency in English by submitting results of both the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and Test of Spoken English (TSE) exams. The minimal acceptable score on the TOEFL exam is a 600 and on the TSE exam is a 300.
