IMPORTANT NOTE:  The Maymester 2008 course offering of EES 110 has been CANCELLED.  EES 110 will be offered Fall semester 2008 with openings for 20 students.  The instructors will consider waiving the prerequisite requirements for highly interested students with adequate scientific backgrounds.
Geology 110 01. Geology of National Parks.
Geologic and human history of select U.S. National Parks and Monuments. This course will provide an overview of North American geology and the processes controlling the development of geologic features; incorporate numerous hands-on learning experiences; and introduce several controversies related to land use, recreation, development, and economics.  Prerequisite:  EES 101 and 111 or 103 and 113 or consent of instructor.  NOTE: Field trips are a required component of this course.  Additonal expenses for lodging, food, and transportation.[3] Bream and Gualda
