for the current academic year in order for new services to be created.
Listservs enable email to be distributed to multiple recipients via a single email address.
You may request up to three listservs on this form. If more than three are desired, please submit additional forms.
Lists can be either "open-subscribe" or "closed-subscribe." In an open-subscribe list, anyone can add themselves without approval from the list owner. A closed-subscribe list requires owner approval before a subscriber is added to the list. Regardless of which option is chosen, the owner can always add/delete/edit subscribers. (Note: by default, student organization lists will be "open unsubscribe.")
Lists can be either moderated or unmoderated. In an unmoderated list, any email sent to the list will be sent to the subscribers. In a moderated list, all email will be sent to the list moderator for approval before being sent to the rest of the subscribers. Pre-approved senders may bypass the approval process by using a moderator's password, or Moderator's Web Tool
Groupmail boxes enable an organization to have an email address that serves as a single point of contact for the organization. Email sent to this address is received in a shared inbox to which one (or more) member(s) of an organization has access. Access is assigned by VUnetID.
