Given the ever greater economic, political, and cultural implications of globalizations, as well as the emergence of an increasingly powerful European Union, a deeper understanding of Europe and its peoples has never been more relevant and in demand.  The EUS major is particularly well-equipped for careers in international business, law, banking, various international organizations, and U.S. governmental agencies (particularly the Foreign Service).  Others go on to do graduate work in one of the professional schools or in a doctoral program.
