Four Vanderbilt English Professors will be presenting at the Frist Center for Visual Arts. Jay Clayton is talking about “Future Creatures: Redesigning Life in Literature and Film.” The fascinating and timely topic (think Hunger Games) is in conjunction with the current exhibit, Fairy Tales, Monsters, and the Genetic Imagination. Celebrating National Poetry Month and the exhibition To See as Artists See: American Art from The Phillips Collection, nationally and locally known poets will read poems by American poets. Three of Vanderbilt’s poets, known both locally and nationally, are contributing to this remarkable event.
