DESCRIPTION:All Patient Care Givers\: Smooth Moves Classes Forming Now\nAre you lifting patients over 35 lbs and concerned about your back\, shoulders\, hips\, or knees?\nThe Smooth Moves Program is here for you!  Vanderbilt cares about YOU -- nurses\, care partners\, and other health professionals who work at the bedside every day\, this program can help prevent you from being injured.  The physical strain of lifting and moving patients every day\, over the course of a career\, is tremendous.\nThe class includes\:\n- Learning assessment tools for patient's mobility needs\n- The use of state-of-the-art equipment\n- Support for each other to "Do The Right Thing"\nAll patient caregivers are invited to a Smooth Moves Champion class on\:\n- August 22nd in the Medical Center North Ballroom from 7\:30 am to 4\:00 pm\n- September 30th in the Medical Center North Ballroom from 7\:30 am to 4\:00 pm\nSnacks drinks and prizes are provided.\nTo register or for more information\: linda.k.larson@vanderbilt.edu [mailto\:linda.k.larson@vanderbilt.edu] or call 936-3735.\nThe Smooth Moves Program is part of the Occupational Health [http\://www.occhealt.vanderbilt.edu] Clinic Safe Work Programs.\n
