The Tennessee Department of Education, in partnership with the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center TRIAD is pleased to provide an autism-specific workshop for special education personnel titled "Blueprint for Success: Developing Plans for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders". Teachers, parents, and other professionals working with students with autism spectrum disorders often face challenges when designing an individualized program for a child.

This workshop will equip participants with the knowledge to begin to understand the characteristics of ASD and the impact that these deficits have on learning. Participants will learn effective teaching strategies to employ in the classroom and throughout the learning environment, as well as behavior modification strategies.

To register for the workshop, please contact Linda Copas with the Tennessee Department of Education at Linda.copas@state.tn.us or 615-741.7790.
