1. Read the requirements for the majors
2. Choose one of the three majors offered.
3. Download the Declaration of Major form ( the forms are listed below, you will need two copies)
4. Choose an advisor (links to page with advisors & advice for choosing) from among the Biological Sciences Faculty or you may wish to have a Faculty member assigned to you as your advisor. Jamie Harris in the Department Office (MRB3/ 1210), will help you if this is the case.
5. Contact your chosen advisor and ask if he or she has room for another advisee. E-mail addressess are given on the faculty web pages.
6. Have your advisor sign the Declaration of Major forms. Turn one in to the department (Jamie Harris) and another to the Dean's Office in 311 Kirkland Hall.

Download the minor declaration form,(listed above) and contact a member of the Biological Sciences department as described above for majors. There is only one minor in Biological Sciences;  the three typed of majors do not apply.
